mai tai's in hilo??

Anyone know of a scenic, atmospheric spot to enjoy a couple of mai tai's (or other island libations)~~We,ve been here a couple of times and yet to find a decent spot to enjoy some puu puus and drinks~~~we'll be renting a car so will be able to visit hotels etc. Thanx for any input

To be honest with you, we have never found a great spot around here. We usually end up on our lanai serving our guests Marv's (my husband) Marvelous Mai Tai's :D .....complete with little umbrellas!

Acutally, the Hilo Bay Cafe will be moving in Oct. to the site of the old Nihon Restaurant. This is situated at the end of Liliuokalani Gardens by the Suisan Market. The views of Hilo Bay at this location are the very best in town. The Hilo Bay Cafe is now in a strip mall next to Walmart. Their food is wonderful...they were just missing the ambience. It should be great to enjoy their food in this new scenic location.
