ObsessedQuilter Posted July 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Our ship is in port on Oct 2nd; arrives 8am, leaves 5pm Low tide is before we arrive; high tide is mid day; and low tide again is after we leave. We WANTED to walk on ocean floor, see caves...etc. Cannot do that at high tide.... Need suggestions please. What other scenic places to go during high tides? Thanks in advance for information! This is our first time to this area.

Diver Deb Posted September 15, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Quilter, we are on your ship and have a car reserved (with room to share!). Our thoughts were to drive along the Fundy trail with stops at scenic overlooks and short hikes. We have visited Saint John before, and the walk to the Reversing Rapids along the waterfront is easy (see them at high tide). The New Brunswick Museum is also interesting, good if it is a rainy day! pizzalady1 Posted September 16, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2013 remember that sait johnis 1 hour ahead of your ship'time. Not always, it depends on the cruiseline you are sailin on. NCL, and HAL changes ship times to match the local time zone. Carnival always keeps the same time as the departure city. I do not know about any other cruise line. Hi Deb My wife and I are divers and on your ship. If you have room in a car we would be happy to chip in and adventure. This will be our first time in St John. and Halifax. marys350 Posted September 23, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 23, 2013 remember that sait johnis 1 hour ahead of your ship'time. We sailed on the Brilliance of the Seas (Sept 15-22, 2013) and the ship changed to local time for our Canada ports (Saint John, NB; and Halifax, Nova Scotia) and then changed clocks again when we returned to U.S.
