debk68 Posted July 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Hi- Just got back from the Breeze. I wanted to give a heads up to all of you flying out of Miami to be vigilant about checking your gates. My Mom was flying out to Chicago and they changed the Gate from her boarding pass. We were flying to Denver. When we printed our boarding pass it showed D45. The Departure screens showed D34. Our flight left around 5 so we camped out at D34. They called the flight for Grenada (we were Denver) at 4:20 at D34. We checked the boards and it still said Denver D34. We checked at the gate and we were told it was changed to D20. we made it to D20 on time but I have never had that experience before.
Jeafl Posted July 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2013 They changed gates on us too without notification! We found out the correct gate by accident while walking back from the bathroom. We had been sitting in the wrong gate for almost an hour! Never trust what it says on your boarding pass.
Lovefuninthesun Posted July 22, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2013 We have had this happen countless times, in various airports -- Atlanta, New Orleans, San Francisco, Heathrow, to name a few. It is an air travel problem, not a Miami problem. I always check and double check.

Rare songbird1329 Posted July 22, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Flying home to NY from San Diego. We were supposed to be on a 757. Plane got changed to a 767. All the seat assignments got changed. And, of course, the gate got changed.
sjcruiser Posted July 22, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2013 Airlines or airports often do this, even when you've just checked in, so it's important to keep an eye out on the departure boards, and listen for the announcements. It happened to us leaving out of Orlando. The difference here was that the check in crew switched stations. We thought they were on break, or assisting with another gate as they left the information sign running as to the flight status. Twenty minutes before the flight was scheduled to leave, they came back and turned off the sign, and told us about the gate moving.
