Magic and wifi

Does anyone that has been on Magic in say past 3 months know the wifi packages and/or internet basic minutes? I am needing to just check emails maybe twice on a 7 day cruise, so minimal. Also can be slow speed (I think). I was just going to get your thoughts and experiences. I do not have a problem going to funhub to check either if it is more quick. I know there are free wifi at ports but mine is a Sunday departure and not going to 1st port until Wednesday of same week, and needing to check for sure on Monday or Tuesday.

We were on the Magic back in June and I used my lap top from my cabin with no reception problems.

 

Prices were $34.99 per day or 134.99 per cruise for the "High Speed"

For the slower speed connection it was $55.99 per cruise.

 

I purchased the slower speed.

It worked fine for email, facebook and browsing a few web sites.

 

Up loading pictures to facebook took a few minutes. Even when I reduced the size of the pictures to 1024 X 682.

This is a good size for email attachments too.

 

Used speedtest.net and the results were 0.25Mb/s for download and 0.07Mb/s for upload.

 

On Carnivals Fun Hub webs site you can download the funtimes in PDF format.

File size is about 2Meg.

I sent them out as email attachments everyday and it took about 4 or 5 minutes to send.

No big deal. I have unlimited time.

 

Connecting was easy to do.

Just connect like you would at a hotel or public wifi.
