Cruise and air insurance

I have always booked mt insurance right after I book my cruise because I need per-existing medical to be covered; however I always drive to the port. For our Alaska cruise next year I am not planning on buying my airline tickets right now. Has anyone had any experience with this that could give me suggestions? Thanks

Add it to your existing policy as soon as you book it. That way you won't lose your pre-existing condition coverage. If you wait, and add it later, the insurance may no longer cover your pre-existing issues.

I knew the dates I would be flying and the estimated cost even thought I had not purchased the tickets. That was fine with Travel Guard.

Buy the policy now with whatever non-refundable monies you have paid in. This is probably just the cruise deposit. Whenever you make another non-refundable payment, call the insurance company and let them know. They'll make a note in your policy, and may ask you to make another premium payment.
