kjeanne2001 Posted July 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2013 I have always booked mt insurance right after I book my cruise because I need per-existing medical to be covered; however I always drive to the port. For our Alaska cruise next year I am not planning on buying my airline tickets right now. Has anyone had any experience with this that could give me suggestions? Thanks
dread_pirate Posted July 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2013 Add it to your existing policy as soon as you book it. That way you won't lose your pre-existing condition coverage. If you wait, and add it later, the insurance may no longer cover your pre-existing issues.
Rare Scrapnana Posted July 30, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 30, 2013 I knew the dates I would be flying and the estimated cost even thought I had not purchased the tickets. That was fine with Travel Guard.
sirwired Posted July 31, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2013 Buy the policy now with whatever non-refundable monies you have paid in. This is probably just the cruise deposit. Whenever you make another non-refundable payment, call the insurance company and let them know. They'll make a note in your policy, and may ask you to make another premium payment.
