MSC Fantasia

Can anyone tell me if its possible to do the following.

We want to go on the MSC Fantasia Cruise in Feb 2014 & have read several threads where people say the cruiseline permit customers do embark & disembark at various ports. The Fantasia is leaving from Rome & Savona in February with a stop in Barcelona, I can only find prices for departure from Rome & Savona but not Barcelona & in the past this appears to have been allowed. We would actually like to embark in Barcelona & disembark in Rome so we can spend a few days in each place. Any guidance on how to procede would be much appreciated. Thanks Rettie

It depends on the country you are booking through. Different embarkation ports are often available to different countries (mainly because of flights).

Try calling your local MSC office to see if they'll allow this.

Thanks for the reply. Have called MSC & no go, person said it would only be on certain sailings. Even tried MSC Irish website as have read on these boards that Irish get to board in Barcelona but not this time. So looking at going either NCL or Costa who both have ships going out that week.
