For those of you who haven't seen it yet here is the oversight hearing on capitol hill featuring Gerry Cahill, Adam Goldstein, and others from the industry and the coast guard. Very interesting hearing you should watch it when you have the time.

Yup. Uncle Gerry's embarrassment starts at about 31:30, and he's called out on his embarrassing performance at about 45:00.

Adam Goldstein was definitely the more impressive of the two. I actually felt sorry for Cahill. Other hearings I have watched they wanted short opening statements since the "meat" is supposed to be in the written testimony submitted for the record. Cahill got slammed for his opening statement. Rockefeller is grandstanding - comparing the coal industry to the cruise industry - a bit of a stretch for sure. If he and Markey get their ways many cc members won't be able to afford cruising or any vacation for that matter.
