Ferry in St. George?

Hi, I'm interested in doing this coral reef excursion in Hamilton. NCL Majesty will be docked at St. George. They recommend boarding the 11:15 am ferry to catch the excursion, which starts at 2. How far is this ferry from where we will be docking? Is there a benefit in taking the ferry over the bus? Thanks!

The Ferry is right next door. But its an 1 1/2 hour to Hamilton on the Ferry and about an hour by Bus....it's a nice sea ride but since you are on a ship its unnecessary. I find the ferry rocks less than the bus if that is a concern.

I may be wrong but do not remember that great service returning to St. George late in the afternoon/early evening. Serivce is more limited that from the Dockyard and Hamilton.

The last ferry gets to St. Georges at 3:15 so there's a good chance you'll need to take the bus back. The busses run until sometime after 10.
