Voyager Mini Fridges

I've heard from a few threads that the mini fridges are not very cold. Is this true on Voyager? Would like to put some of my own items in it but if its not worth is then i will bring a collapsable cooler.

Not sure on Voyager, but ours wasn't on NOS last month...we brought soft-side cooler and room steward was GREAT about keeping us supplied with ice.

Also you can put your cans of soda etc. in the fridge and ask the room steward to keep a good supply of ice (2 buckets) as they fill them 2 times per day, and you should be ok...;)

Our experience on the Voyager was that, at best, the fridge kept our soft drinks cool. Thankfully we had packed a soft-sided cooler with us which we used instead.

I don't think it's limited to Voyager class ships. I was on the Zuiderdam in April and the fridge was the same.

That would explain why it never kept our drinks cold! :o

The mini-fridges never seem to keep anything really cold. Be particularly careful if you need to store medication.

Wrong, I have been on the Voyager and I am in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration business. The units have a compressor and evaporator coil.

Welll then they dont plug them in because OURS didnt work and again tat is what the cabin attendant told me.
