One is elderly, handicapped and in a scooter, We don't smoke, drink or visit nude beaches. One hates to shop and we are on a limited budget. One is also gluten free so dining out may be limited. We leave in a week and have never been to this port. I need to call on you peeps to help us find some way to make a nice day at this port! I'm running out of time and ideas! Thanks!

With those restrictions, it might be a good day to decide to just stay on the boat.

You can navigate a scooter from the Cruise Facility to The Boardwalk, downtown Philipsburg, which provides direct access to the beach (with great views, including back to your ship), some shopping and lots of restaurants. At least a few of the restaurants ought to offer up something gluten free.

If someone wants to do some serious shopping, that's just a block away from The Boardwalk, but, sadly, most of the shops there are NOT mobility friendly. There are also a number of casino's nearby, but I think that all of them require negotiating some steps to enter.

There are also limited shopping and food choices available directly at the Cruise Facility.

For a similar reason, we decided to rent a car on St.Maarten. Although, my mother in law will not be bringing her scooter. She will use one of those canes/walkers that has a seat.

With having our own car we can go at our pace, plus we can limit the walking. If she gets tired or doesn't feel good then my hubby can get the car and pick her up to return to the ship.

Our cruise isn't till Nov.

Look at Bernard's tours, http://bernardstours.com/ send him an email with what you would like just as above, he will put together something for you.

Since your so limited you should stay on the ship and enjoy things you didn't get a chance to do the day before, maybe do some arts and crafts or just sit out by the pool. Have fun on your cruise ill be cruising in April and I can't wait:)
