Mliddon Posted August 8, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted August 8, 2013 I forgot to say, we will be spending the day before sitting on a beach. I want to make sure I have good shopping options and yummy food. Does Orient Bay have a shopping district? Thanks again Mich
cherylroslyn Posted August 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2013 If you had one day on St Martin and wanted to relax and do some shopping where would you go? And why? Thanks Mich Orient is not a place to go to shop. Margiot is the place for shopping. Orietn is for a beach day....there are some tent vendors there as well for low value souveniers. wallie5446 Posted August 8, 2013 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2013 The Boardwalk area to the left of the pier, by the water taxi, or about a 15 min stroll! All the main shopping is one street over. If you want there are loungers for rent $5 ea and some inc a beer. Orient is a beach, no shopping.
Mliddon Posted August 8, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted August 8, 2013 Thank you both for the info!!! It is a big help. I would have hated to get all the way to Orient bay and find out it was not what we wanted!!!
