Tips for Alaska cruisetour?

Recommended Posts

We just returned from a cruisetour which started in Fairbanks. Spent 4 days on the land portion and thoroughly enjoyed each day. Much of our enjoyment came because of an excellent tour guide and driver team who made this portion of our trip effortless. We tipped both of them gladly for their efforts. We were given no guidelines so used our own discretion. Since each person's experience is unique, you may want to use your own as your guide.

I don't remember ever seeing this before - do people tip on cruisetours? If so, who do you tip? How much?

Thanks for your help.

Joanie

I thought I saw a post a while back something like $2 pp for the driver and $3.50 pp for the guide

Yes, you tip. We were given envelopes on the next to last day of the land portion. I don't remember the amounts, but I know I saw them somewhere - either on Celebrity's website, in the brochure, or in my documents when they arrived.

That sounds about right.
