I'm going with Carnival going to Nassau and Freeport

Nassau 8-5 pm

Freeport 7-2pm

Here is a few things we (total 3) would like to do if possbile, can i get some suggestion???

1. Tour the Atlantis, any suggestion on who i should get the day pass with beside Carnival? Or is it even possible?

How long would it take? Will we have enough time to do anything else?

2. Would like to find a good bench and snorkeling, where should we do that? Freeport or Nassau? Any tour suggestion??

3. Where can i rent jet ski?

3. Where can we find some good fresh seafood to eat??

thanks

1. Don't book through the company, they overcharge you. Either get it at Atlantis or Comfort Inn Suites at Paradise Island(book a room, you get up to 4 day passes and it's cheaper generally).

2. No clue, heard Nassau has rough waters later in the day which makes it dangerous.

3. Do not rent Jet Skis as Nassau as they aren't kept up to safety standards. Not sure about Freeport.

4. Any place on Nassau/Freeport should have good conch food.

In the past apparently you could, or even tip a security guard. According the the boards, seems now they started to crack down on it so I doubt you could walk around on Atlantis property unless you bought some sort of pass.

You can't see much of Atlantis without a pass. I would suggest getting a Digs pass. This will let you see the aquarium and some of the outside grounds. It costs around $40 a person and you can buy the tickets directly from Atlantis. Just go to the kiosk in the casino. It's a nice way to spend two hours or so.

For good authentic Bahamian food, you can go to the Fish Fry, but it is in the opposite direction as Atlantis.

I think we are going to do the Discover Atlantis Aquarium Tour

Can i get ticket in advance?

is it still $40 per person?

Is there a limit time i can stay or i can stay there at long as we want??

(we are not interested in pool, beach)

What is the best way to get there? Taxi? how much would that be??

Try to see what is cheaper..... book it via the cruise or just go to Atlantis and book it there

I sent an email to Atlantis asking what was available. They told me about the various packages that are available (I have the details on each if anyone wants to know):

1) Aquaventure Package

2) Beach Day Package

3) Discover Atlantis Tour

They also said this: "Day visitors who choose not to participate in the water attractions or tour are welcome to enjoy our fantastic restaurants, duty free shopping and world class casino."

There was no time limit when we were there. There are guides for the aquarium but you don't have to go with a guide. We just walked around on our own.

The quickest way to get to Atlantis is by taxi. It costs $4 a person (plus tip). You can also take a water taxi but it gets mixed reviews. You get a nice view of the harbor and Paradise Island but it takes longer because they only leave when the boat is full and you have to walk a few blocks from the terminal to Atlantis. If you're not in a hurry and like a little adventure, it can be fun. :) I believe the water taxi is also $4.

Check out Paradise Cove in Freeport. Great snorkeling from the beach and a delicious seafood lunch!
