  1. I heard it was the two balancing guys. Someone posted about it in the FB group.
  2. I posted the Cruise Compasses for our 4-day cruise here: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html There's a page with all the shows and times.
  3. Blades is not unscripted. The premise of the show is that the music is from the skaters' playlists. However, the show is definitely choreographed. We saw it on our November 6 cruise and I posted some pictures of it in my review: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/allure-of-seas-our-first-cruise-on.html
  4. We were at that show. The comedian did great with the woman. 😄
  5. You want to take the #10 bus. You shouldn't have any problem getting a bus back. They come by every few minutes. When you go to the Fish Fry, you'll need to cross the road after you get off the bus. On the way back, the bus will be on the same side of the road as the Fish Fry.
  6. It wasn't bad, just felt stuffy. They fixed it very quickly and the cabin steward even checked back a few hours later to make sure everything was working ok. Of course, when we first reported it, they asked if we were sure we'd closed the balcony door. Yes, we did. 🙂 The AC will shut off if the door isn't closed properly. Also, keep your drapes closed during the day to keep the heat out. That glass door got hot!
  7. The new bus stop is actually closer to the pier. When you leave the port area, turn right and walk towards Sharkees. To walk to the Fish Fry, keep going past Senor Frogs, British Colonial, Margaritaville and Junkanoo Beach. Keep walking along the water and you can't miss it. It's about a mile and a half walk from the ships. If you decide to go to Oh Andros, take cash because it's cash only.
  8. Here are a couple of pictures of our cabin - 8172, ocean view balcony. I highly recommend the location. We did have a problem with our air conditioning one night when it stopped blowing cold air. We notified maintenance and they came out quickly and reset a switch or something. Everything was fine after that.
  9. I didn't know there were so many either until I starting looking into it. I think I've found 65 dolphins now. I know there are a few more around but haven't been able to visit them yet. It's been a fun challenge. 🙂
  10. Finally got the full review finished! Here's the link: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/allure-of-seas-our-first-cruise-on.html
  11. We were Allure for the November 6, 4-night sailing. I took so many pictures that I had a hard time narrowing them down for my review. Here is the link: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/allure-of-seas-our-first-cruise-on.html I hope you enjoy it! It was our first megaship and I wasn't sure what to expect but I think it turned out very well. It was not as crowded as I was afraid it would be, and the ship was in good shape considering it's overdue for an update. I did kind of miss having an atrium but the neighborhoods were fun. We had My Time Dining and I made reservations before the cruise for 7:30 each night, the earliest I could get. We loved our wait team the first night and asked to be seated in their section again but ended up in different parts of the dining room each night. I don't think I'll bother with reservations again. Loved our cabin on Deck 8. It was on the opposite side of Central Park from Dazzles so it was convenient to everything but quiet and the elevators were always empty. It was really nice to be able to walk through Central Park whenever we left the cabin. We did not get the drink package because the prices were crazy. We just paid as we went along and came out over $300 ahead. If we'd had the package, we probably would have had more drinks or water and coffee, but not $300 worth. If anyone has any questions about the cruise, I'll be glad to try to answer. Bon Voyage!
  12. Thanks again for these recipes! I tried all three Boleros mojitos when we were on Allure last week. Then after we got home, I ordered Monin coconut syrup so I could make the coconut mojito. I skipped the granulated sugar because the coconut syrup was sweet enough. It came out great.
  13. I'm old school too. 🙂 I posted the 4-day Compasses here: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html
  14. The menus were Welcome Aboard, French and Caribbean. I'm not sure about the 4th night because we ate at Giovanni's that night.
  15. We were on Allure of the Seas for the November 6 sailing. They don't give out the Cruise Compasses automatically anymore but I asked my cabin steward and he brought them to me every night. I'm sure it saves a lot of wasted paper but I noticed Royal hasn't stopped printing paper copies of the daily specials. 😄 For those of you who still like to see the Compasses, I posted a copy here: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/p/blog-page.html I hope to write a full review of our cruise but meanwhile, here's a review of the mojitos at Boleros: https://susancrow.blogspot.com/2023/11/mojito-madness-on-allure-of-seas.html Thanks to @PG_Cruiser, I have the actual recipes to try these at home!
  16. We just got off the ship on Friday. We left our cabin at 7:30 and were at our car in 10 minutes. It was great. The facial recognition really speeds things up.
  17. Our cabin on Deck 8 was perfect. Close to the entrance of Central Park, quiet and we never had to wait for an elevator.
  18. Is the Boleros menu new or has it been around a couple of years?
  19. I wouldn't take 12 people to Oh Andros. It's small so it would hard to get a table and the last time we went, it was cash only. Great food though!
