a clean & comfortable, not too expensive place to stay in Ft L, in a decent area. We cruise out of Port Everglades. Also appreciate getting your opinion as to whether or not we shld book online, thru a TA or direct and how soon in advance of stay. Thanks very much in advance & happy cruisin'!

We really enjoyed the Amerisuites last December. Free shuttle to the pier (although it can get really busy), good breakfast included in the price. We booked it for our family of four through Valuetrips.com for $75. It is also available on Priceline for less but you'd have to do some reading at www.betterbidding.com to learn how to bid on Priceline if you're not familiar with the method.

 

Try going to the 'Hotels' message board on this site. You'll find tons of suggestions and reviews for FL hotels.

We use. http://www.biddingfortravel.com if you scroll down to FLL hotels it gives you links to the various hotels available on priceline along with reviews.

We stayed at the Sheraton Airport in Feb. Beautiful hotel, free shuttle to/from Airport, but needed a cab to the pier. The hotle desk clerk arranged a shuttle for the two of us and they only charged us 10 bucks (5$ each). We had rented a car for the two days we were in FLL though, pretty much a need if you are spending any amount of time there, as the hotel is not near anything but the airport. If you are just overnighting, with no tourist time its the best!

 

Got it on priceline for 48$ a night.
