Great bay beach

There has been local newspaper reports a few years ago above GB pollution but I have never read about anyone getting sick. I would pick a area as far away from the canal that feeds the bay which is close to the ships. Have fun!

I was just curious I see all of these references on CC as to how

Great Bay Beach is polluted, but when I read Trip advisor I never

see anything related to pollution. What is the real story?

You will get two responses here. The ones that have swam here and don't believe it's polluted and the one's that have kept up with the local newspaper articles and statements from the St. Maarten Nature Foundation who believe that it is.

Lots of beaches that don't have any mention of pollution issues so why not just pick one of those beaches and not have to worry about it?

We like going to Orient Beach because it's much prettier!

But ... But ... But ... Back when Everything Cool was still open we swan at Great Bay many times with no ill effects. Still alive to tell you about it! :D
