When are the formal nights on the Freedom 8 day sailings?

When we were on an 8 night cruise on the Freedom, I think our formal night was the 2nd night-it was a day at sea. Not exactly sure on the last formal night but it may have been on the next to the last night. It has never been on the first night or last night.
