FYI: October 28 is Ohi Day in Greece, a celebration of Greeks' refusal to allow Mussolini passage in 1940. Many things will apparently be closed.

Archaeological sites (ex. Acropolis) are limited open (8:00am-15:00pm).

Syntagma square maybe will be close.

Tourist shops, cafe, restaurants, taverns etc are normally open.

We will be in Crete on 28th - private tour but mostly we want to head out into the countryside anyway.......
