Is Capt. Christopher Turner still with Holland America and what ship might

he be on? We sailed with him on Prinsendam Oct 30, 2008.

He's captain of the Zuiderdam, but I believe he's on leave at the moment and comes back later this year.

We was our captain in 2010 on the Zuiderdam - partial Panama Canal cruise.

He was on the Zuiderdam this past May (2013).

He was the Captain on two of our Prinsendam cruises. One was a 46 day Africa/Amazon cruise and I think another was a three week transatlantic cruise. I recall that on one of them I mentioned that he was leaving the ship for his vacation and will be doing a do-it-yourself river cruise. Talk about a busman's holiday!

Our cruise on prinsendam with capt turner was also three week transatlantic.. I imagine we were on the same trip. He was a great. captain.

He is off now but comes back in mid October. He is senior Captain on the Zuiderdam.

We were on that October 30, 2008 transatlantic and Captain Turner's self-deprecating humor won our hearts.

Many years ago, we sailed with Chris Turner twice on Windstar's Wind Song. He was ideal on that ship as, with less than 200 passengers, he was able to meet and get to know the passengers and share his wonderful sense of humour.

 

I loved his comment "Why doesn't the Captain look out of the window in the morning? Answer : It gives him something to do in the afternoon" :D
