Guarantee room question

We booked a cruise with a guarantee room. (1st time doing this). When do they let you know what room number you are assigned too?

I ask cause we are 48 days out thought we would have the number and deck by now.

Thank you for your time and help in this matter.

Hi, on our first Carnival cruise we did this and we were told we would know about two weeks before the sailing date. But it all depends because some people don't receive their cabin number until they check-in at the port. But when they told us the room number (about two weeks before we sailed) they gave us the option to move to an extended balcony for free! So of course we took it. :) Have a great time on your cruise!

Sometime it's just days before you cruise and sometimes you don't get it until you get to the pier. The porters will have a guest list and will put the appropriate luggage tags on your checked bags.

We also have our first balcony guarantee coming up next month, currently 29 days out. We do not have our room assigned yet but in looking at the rooms not yet booked for our sailings, we have a good chance of ending up on the Lido deck or Spa. There are also a couple of extended afts and even a premium available. How did they contact you to see if you wanted the aft? Afts are our favorite but the last minute deal on this was too good to pass up.

Booked a guarantee balcony (we sail in 9 days) and I found out almost exactly 4 weeks before sail date.

Friends that are also travelling with us found out the day after us.

(We were both VERY excited with our assignments and saved a ton of money over what we would have paid to choose these rooms)

Hi, it wasn't an aft balcony we had, it was an extended balcony on the port-side. And we were guaranteed a balcony already but when we checked every day to see if we had our room # it said that we were upgraded to an extended balcony along with the room number.

Thanks, maybe we'll get lucky! It would be nice since the cruise is for our 25th anniversary. But honestly, we're fine with any balcony sine it's only the 2 of us this time.

You're Welcome, and maybe you will get lucky! Happy Anniversary and enjoy your cruise!
