Kateandstevec Posted November 9, 2017 #29 Share Posted November 9, 2017 We just booked 1324. Christmas 2018.It's our first GS do we have breakfast in chops I understand,is that any better? Hi Chiliburn Just a question do you still have this cabin booked on the Explorer of the Seas departing Sydney on the 18th Dec 2018. The reason I ask is that we also have this GS booked. Just wandering if you cancelled the suite, we booked it on the 25th Sept 2017. Cheers Kate
Chiliburn Posted November 9, 2017 #30 Share Posted November 9, 2017 Kateandstevec We are book the 8 th December not the Christmas cruise sorry for the confusion. We are on the ovation in five weeks,we have been on it before. To be honest we are looking forward to next year because we weren't really impressed with the ovation. How much did you pay? We paid about $2700 each for 10 nights.

Picked it up when the 40% sales was on 11days $3097.46 each thought I did extremely well for a Christmas cruise also scored the Radiance of the Seas 4th April 2019 10 days $2767 each for a GS also picked up on a 40% sale. The Christmas cruise is now roughly $7500 and the Radiance $6500 for both of us. Can I ask about the Ovation, how long, how much and what type of cabin. Chiliburn Posted November 9, 2017 #32 Share Posted November 9, 2017 12 nights around New Zealand, middle range balcony.we paid $3000 each. Just after final payment date it was discounted to $2200.because it's not very popular. NOT HAPPY Ovation is a different ship there's not many suites but heaps of balcony all exactly the same.its just a big mass market money machine. If you want to go on it wait till 3 months before the cruise. Well if we leave something in1324 I know who to call lol lol

I guess I’m going to make you extremely unhappy now, we are cruising on Monday on the voyager and dock on the 21st, 2 1/2 weeks ago I saw a deal on the Ovation for a balcony coming back from Singapore for $1399 for 14 days, did not jump on it straight away because I thought it would be to hard seeing dock on the 21st and sail out of Singapore on the 23rd. Decided to book it but by then I could only get an obstructed Balcony, also picked up 2 business class flights for $980 total, the next day they were $1199 each. We live on the Central Coast so have booked into a Ibis motel at a special rate of $104 motel in Singapore managed to get it for $124 usually $200 so extremely happy, total cost just over $4,000. So I apologise for our good fortune. Kate.
Chiliburn Posted November 10, 2017 #34 Share Posted November 10, 2017 Don’t apologise, I’m happy to see other people happy. Voyager is a good old ship,I love the venison lamps in la Scala. ENJOY
