kellylw Posted August 28, 2013 #51 Share Posted August 28, 2013 My problem with late dining is that we always managed to cruise the day we turned the clocks back for daylight savings and I have a strong internal alarm. By the time I finish eating I'm exhausted from having woken up at 5! I did like that with early seating I felt like I had time after dinner to digest, and actually do things before falling asleep, but I didn't like the rush to get ready. We're going with anytime dining this time around to hopefully get the best of both worlds!
Rare Racegirl6 Posted August 28, 2013 #52 Share Posted August 28, 2013 I can't think of any cons with late dining. We love the fact that we aren't rushed to get to dinner. You can nap before if you want, which is what we did on our last cruise because we had port stops 4 days straight. We loved it, can't think if anything wrong with it. Kato27 Posted August 28, 2013 #53 Share Posted August 28, 2013 For us YTD works out the best. We can eat when we want, depending how that day is going. We can eat at 6 one night and 8 the next without a problem. Having to go at a set time is like ...almost an obligation. Were on Vacation, as for meeting cruise mates, you can easily meet people pretty much anywhere on the ship. I know we did on both our cruises so far. I have no doubt you can also meet some great people during dinner. But if it doesn't work out, your kind of stuck with them rest of the cruise, or having to ask to be changed place, that would really suck! These of course are all things I read on meeting new table mates here on CC:)
