AtMaui Posted September 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Can you bring food and/or wine on board that you've purchased in a port? I'm specifically thinking about Barcelona -- cheeses, fruit, flowers, wine. Is there a limit to the number of bottles of wine? Jaci

You are not going to be searched. :) I wouldn't bother too much with the wine. But don't miss out some decent sea food etc. Large prawns, fresh oysters, a lobster, crayfish, sea urchins, small picky things etc etc ... Take with you some supermarket plastic bags so you aren't using those very thin white bags the markets will give you. Plain bags. Pop down to the kitchens and ask them to find a spot in the fridge and serve it up at dinner. Very envious. Boqueria market and Silversea - a winning evening meal. :):):)

Oh, and don't even think of storing food under your bed when you get aboard:rolleyes: Enjoy Barcelona - a great city . But hang on tight to your valuables - a plethora of pickpockets. Yes, birdpoo up the Ramblas can be very painful and not to be messed with. Beware the urchins trying to distract you in particular. Once pooed on twice shy. Ah,churros.:)

duct tape Posted September 5, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 5, 2013 Be sure to ask the Chef before you go. If you expect them to cook it, they will need a small bribe portion for themselves. Barcelona is one of the best markets in the word. A picnic supper on the pool deck is always ideal, enjoy.
