Currency Conversion Authorisation

We haven't sailed with RCI before and I have been going through our cruise docs for October 2013. Whilst setting up the on board expense account it asks whether I want the currency converting by RCI Conversion Programme or my credit card provider. As I have no experience of this I wondered what others choose. Any advice would be very helpful.

This only applies if you have a credit card that is denominated in other than USD. If so, it's generally better to let your credit card company do the conversion

Thanks. It's a UK credit card. I thought it would be best to stay with card company.

Definitely what Bob said.... the cruise ship rates will NOT be competitive.... I think Santander have a card that doesn't impose charges on conversion. Maybe the Post Office?
