bunny1941 Posted September 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2013 My husband and I have never been to Mexico, and are wondering if it is safe to go on a tour to Dzibilchaltun with AutoProgreso ($29) rather than booking the tour with Carnival ($59). I would love to hear from anyone who has taken this tour. Thanks.
PacificMountain2012 Posted September 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Never taken AP to Dzibilchaltun, but have taken them to Uxmal and Merida and would have no problem taking them elsewhere. November should be a great, cool temperature wise, time to visit.

grantbob Posted September 5, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 5, 2013 We took that exact tour with autoprogreso last year and it was great. I have heard some have had some minor problems booking online but it is very easy to pay when you get there. Carnival uses autoprogresso to take you from the boat to town. They have representatives standing there offering their various tours before you get on the bus. I paid in cash and I'm going to use them again next month. No worries. bunny1941 Posted September 5, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted September 5, 2013 I'm very happy to hear that we can book the tour when we get there. Thanks for mentioning paying cash. Your reply was very helpful.
bobnsons Posted September 7, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2013 FYI, Carnival uses Autoprogresso for the tours you book though Carnival. Book direct and save the money. It's not like Autoprogresso treats customers different. Enjoy your trip.
