trident Posted September 3, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2013 Can anyone tell me if there are enough deck chairs in the sun in the pool area of the Eclipse? Don't want to have to fight for chairs together!
Honeybearhollow Posted September 3, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2013 In the Caribbean in Feb, I saw no empty deck chairs on sea days. I did not go looking, tho. I prefer to sit on my own balcony. But it was packed up by the pool on sea days. It is lovely around the pool on port days, until everyone starts arriving back to the ship. Josie2 Posted September 3, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 3, 2013 We are going on Eclipse for the second time for two weeks in the Caribbean. We found that generally, the pool area on Eclipse is too small for the ship/number of passengers. That Said we are normally at the pool before 8 am and leave around noon, and never had a problem getting a good spot. Arrive after 10 am on a sea day and you won't have a good selection. Rare keesar Posted September 3, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2013 On a port day, there will be no problem getting a premium chair. However, on a sea day, nearly all the chairs are taken --but not with people sitting in them. It is difficult to get a chair in the sun on a sea day if you arrive around 10 am. Christine Frances Posted September 3, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 3, 2013 There are lots of other areas on the top decks (ie Solstice deck) if you don't have to be around the pool.
techwatcher Posted September 3, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2013 There are never "enough" deck chairs in the sun on any cruise ship I have been on :)
CruisinNana Posted September 4, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 4, 2013 There are lots of other areas on the top decks (ie Solstice deck) if you don't have to be around the pool. I prefer to sit away from the pool where it is quieter and easier to read. A large spray bottle filled with cool water makes this seating very comfortable!
