Best Scallops - Halifax & St John

We're going to be visiting Halifax and St John in October. While most folks make a dash for lobster, I am a scallop fanatic.

 

Where can I get some awesome scallops (broiled - not fried) in Halifax? And, St John?

I'm guessing you'll only be in both ports for lunch. Too bad as some of my favourite Halifax restaurants are only open at night (http://thepressgang.net/).

 

The only place I can think of in Halifax that will have Scallops (seared, not broiled) on their menu is Murphy's on the Waterfront. http://www.mtcw.ca/files/LUNCH%20MENU%202013.pdf

 

I'll rack my brain and try to think of other places.

In Saint John as soon as you get off the ship you will see Steamers http://www.steamerslobstercompany.com/menu and they have amazing fresh seafood.

At the top of the Saint John City Market is Billy's Seafood and you would also get amazing scallops there! http://www.billysseafood.com/restaurant/lunch.html

All within walking distance to the ship.
