When we got back to the Port Of Miami on the Carnival Breeze, on 8/17, Butch was announcing at 6:15AM that guests were cleared to leave the ship... I thought that was really early so not sure if that is normal or not.. And I do believe he mentioned Diamond/Platinum and FTTF guests first..

It will depend on some factors outside your control, such as when Customs releases the ship and when it actually arrives. On the Liberty on 8/17, passengers were not getting off until 9:00 or later. A week later when we returned, we were off the ship before 7am. Stay at least somewhat close to the recommended flight times (it is noon out of FLL, a bit earlier for MIA) and you should be fine.

In our case, we were actually checked in at FLL by 8:30am, but that is likely well outside the norm, and could not be counted on.
