HOU hotel recommendations

Need a recommendation for hotels near HOU that has free airport shuttle. Will be taking Navigator from Galveston, will use RCL's transfer from the airport the next day, but need a place to sleep the night before...

This should help. I've never had to stay at any of them, but most of the ones that are 2.5 stars and above look good from the outside when I've driven by there. Like with most airports, the hotels are decent, but the neighborhood is not, especially directly north of the airport once you leave airport property.

We have stayed at the Springhill Suites - Houston Hobby a couple of times before cruises. They have a free shuttle to and from Hobby, call for pick-up. They will also shuttle you to a number of restaurants in the area for dinner and pick you up. It a clean and functional hotel - what you would expect from a Springhill. Includes their continental breakfast in the morning.

We stay at the Hampton Inn, Hobby Airport ( http://hamptoninn3.hilton.com/en/hotels/texas/hampton-inn-houston-hobby-airport-HOUHBHX/index.html ). After you claim your luggage you can call them from the airport phone or from your own phone, for a pick-up. They have a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, free breakfast, and a shuttle from the hotel back to the airport. (Please tip the driver's :))

 

They're very familiar with people who are doing just what you want to do.

Thanks for the recommendations. Since I am a member of Marriott Rewards, I decided to go with Springhill Suites. Reviews on tripadvisor wasn't too bad either and the price is right. :D
