Dicenator Posted September 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2013 I'm looking for some info on what the craps table or tables are like on the Norwegian Breakaway. This is my next scheduled cruise on November 10th. Thanks, Dicenator
OvaDaTop Posted September 9, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 9, 2013 Typical NCL....even though the casino is the largest at sea...very nice...in my opinion...only one craps game that actually got full every evening the 5 nights it was open during the Bermuda run. Was on Breakaway week of the 25th. So with that being said....it is the smaller craps table as opposed to the large land based tables and is extremely bouncy. 3-4-5x odds, which of course is the best at sea. Loved the ship though and the food was the best I have had on NCL both in the main rooms and specialty restaurants.
Dicenator Posted September 9, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted September 9, 2013 OvaDaTop, Thanks for the info. A bouncy table is what I was expecting. Although I don't particularly like playing on bouncy tables, I've learned to do so. My betting is subdued and my playing time is cut down also. Maybe I'll have a dose of luck which would be appreciated. I may have to brush up on my blackjack basic strategy. I'm glad to hear about the food. I am far from having a gourmet stomach but my wife is able to rate different ships and different cruise lines as far as food goes so she will definitely be happy. Grandpaul Posted September 9, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 9, 2013 I was on the Breakaway for it's Inaugaral Transatlantic in May. Might be my favorite ship now. Still close but we're going on it again in December so it might become No. 1. Didn't find anything to dislike.

Grandpaul Posted September 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2013 On our TransAtlantic cruise on the Breakaway almost all the time the minmum was $5. A couple times it went up to $10. With the 3-4-5x odds. Dealers were good.

OvaDaTop Posted September 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted September 13, 2013 10 dollar minimum whenever it was opened. Dicenator....I played BJ a lot on this trip but it was sooooo bad I don't feel like playing BJ for awhile. Every table has continuous shuffling machines which I won't play at....with the exception of a few 50 dollar and higher limits. They even had the 25 dollar game on a CSM and had 1 15 dollar game on a shoe but the play was so poor I couldn't play on it....so i played the 50 dollar game and got decimated. I started playing Let it Ride which I haven't played in years and did fairly well on that game. Poker games were good from what I saw...2 tables but the rake is so high I personally won't play 25 dollar max rake is ridiculous.
Dicenator Posted September 13, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted September 13, 2013 OvaDaTop, We, my wife and myself, refuse to play blackjack with the continuous shuffle machines. My wife did very well a few weeks ago on the Carnival Dream playing Fun 21 (essentially Spanish 21) which was the only blackjack related game that was hand shuffled. She was up $400 for the week at this game. Dicenator
