bertrande Posted February 21, 2017 #351 Share Posted February 21, 2017 CABIN #: 6148 on Constellation DECK #: 6 CLASS: Penthouse Suite AREA: Aft QUIET?: Very BALCONY VIEW: Fantastic, with wraparound views to the side BALCONY SIZE: Huge WIND A PROBLEM?: No SOOT A PROBLEM?: Once or twice PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: One huge problem - you will be spoilt for life and every other cabin will seem tiny thereafter. In all seriousness, this is a fantastic cabin. However, being at the aft of a slightly smaller ship, you will feel the motion of the ship on rockier days so that's something to bear in mind when booking it. sparty1 Posted March 10, 2017 #353 Share Posted March 10, 2017 Cabin: Summit 1102, Starboard Cate: Aqua Spa, A1 Balcony: standard size: 2 adjustable-back chairs, eating height table Bed: near bathroom No noise , wind or soot Other: When on balcony, we could hear music played on pool deck(1 deck below and mid-ship) It was nice for us. 3 ways to go down from deck 11: 2 outside exits to leave cabin area, and 1 inside where elevator is. Aft exit uses stair to go to Sunset bar and Oceanview Cafe; front exit (actually mid-ship) goes to jogging track, forward lounge and stairs to deck 10(pool area); and inside exit goes to Oceanview Cafe. (Walls of these newer cabins are thin. Could hear TV(wasn't loud either), and neighbors arguing and being ill...only 1 time for each of those things, tho) We booked same cabin next year. Good location for us.

RexC Posted April 5, 2017 #356 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Ship: eg., Millennium, Summit, Infinity, or Constellation Cabin: 1124 Deck: 11 Class: AQ1 Area/Location: Aft Starboard Bed Location / View: Wall facing next to bathroom Quiet? Yes Balcony/Porthole View: Excellent Balcony/Porthole Size: Standard Wind a Problem? No Soot a Problem? No Problems / Comments: We had soot on the balcony on arrival, never a problem after this time. You hear the movie from above when on the balcony. No noise issues with the door closed. There is a large vibration when the ship is at about 17-18 knots or accelerating. Above or below that 17-18 range there is no issue so most times it was fine. Very happy with this cabin, great location for buffet and oceanview bar. caseythegr Posted April 9, 2017 #357 Share Posted April 9, 2017 Ship : Summit Cabin #: 9197 Deck #: 9 Class: FV Area: AFT Bed near: Bath Quiet?: No Balcony view: Unobstructed, but metal surround Balcony size: Huge Wind a problem?: No Soot a problem?: No Problems/comments: Corner aft, directly below the Ocean View Bar. Could hear chairs scraping beginning in the early hours until they closed. Could listen to the music from the bar while on the balcony. Other cruisers could look directly down on our balcony, so not really private. I would not book this cabin again.

Brilliance Posted April 23, 2017 #359 Share Posted April 23, 2017 Ship : Constellation Cabin #: 1111 Deck #: 11 Class: Aqua Area: AFT Bed near: Bath Quiet?: Yes Balcony view: Unobstructed Balcony size: good Wind a problem?: No Soot a problem?: No Problems/comments: Super location. End of corridor had stairs down to sunset bar and near lift stairs for one deck down straight into Oceanview cafe. Other end of corridor was a door that took you straight outside to the upper pool deck. The only drawback was the cabin number 1111. Many crew did not lock their phones and we had numerous erroneous calls including at night. Even after mentioning to guest services it still happened. The best way to stop this is to unplug the phone from underneath it. If that is done it is a great quiet room in a fabulous location.

SHIP TRAVELER Posted June 20, 2017 #366 Share Posted June 20, 2017 Cabin 8003 Millennium May 2017 Deck 8 Class 4 ocean view Area Forward Bed Middle Quiet No noise from forward crew cabins. Lots of noise from the cabin next us on the other side of us. If not for the noisy neighbors, I think it would have been quiet. Comments: Extra Large room with full sofa and large chair. The large oval window did not have a good black out drape. There were enough sofa cushions and pillows to pile in front of the window to block the light. You could see out the window when seated on the sofa or desk. We estimated the room to have been 220-230 sq feet compared to the usual 170 sq feet for an ocean view. Forward door to crew area was not a problem, we had no noise from that area. The vanity/desk and the bathroom were the standard size for an ocean view. We noticed that the vanity/desks in other classes of cabin were larger. Good storage with lots of drawers. We liked the cabin a lot and enjoyed the natural light and view. We would take this cabin again.

NCHPcruiser Posted July 10, 2017 #370 Share Posted July 10, 2017 CABIN #: 8106 DECK 8 CLASS Celebrity Suite AREA Middle BED NEAR Separate room QUIET: Yes BALCONY VIEW: Excellent/Unobstructed WIND A PROBLEM: No SOOT A PROBLEM: No PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: This is a well laid out suite with more than enough storage for two people. There is one HUGE problem which Celebrity should make everyone who books this (or any other CS on the Millennium) aware of. A person must be able to step VERY high to enter the bathtub/shower and then getting out is equally dangerous! If for example my parents had been in this suite they would have had to bathe in the spa showers because there is no way they could have gotten into or out of this bathtub. Poor planning at it worst! We would not book a CS on the Millennium again. Everything is also very tired looking and needs a redo.
JRWLOBO Posted August 25, 2017 #371 Share Posted August 25, 2017 CABIN #: 6125 on the Summit DECK #: 6 CLASS: Sky Suite (S1) AREA: Between Aft & Mid elevators. Closer to aft elevators. No noise whatsoever from the elevators or stairs. Very convenient to Café Al Bacio. BED NEAR: Bed faces balcony QUIET?: Very Quiet BALCONY VIEW: Port side of ship. Balcony overlooks public deck on deck 5 which was very rarely occupied. It was more of a work area than a passenger area as there were not any chairs for passengers to lounge in. This deck area has a door that connects to Michaels suite lounge but this door is not used very much and mostly remained locked during our cruise. Otherwise, no obstructions. Very nice view. BALCONY SIZE: A little oversized due to angle. Only came with 2 chairs and a table. Did not have footstools. WIND A PROBLEM?: Never while sitting outside during this cruise. SOOT A PROBLEM?: Not at all. PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: We enjoyed this suite. This suite class on the M class ships is small, but comfortable. The bathroom was very pretty, but again quite small. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Caution needs to be taken when stepping in and out as the tub sits up higher than normal. Suite has a loveseat/sleeper, upholstered chair and a round coffee type table. No dining table inside and unlike on other ships, this table was not adjustable. Plenty of storage with the closet, night stands, TV area and vanity. There is also a chair in front of the vanity area, although lighting above the vanity was very poor for applying any makeup. The wall on one side of the suite is solid mirrors so prepare to see yourself everywhere.
Lonedaddy Posted September 8, 2017 #372 Share Posted September 8, 2017 CABIN #: 6131 millennium DECK #: 6 CLASS: Sky Suite (S1) AREA: Near Aft & elevators. Some hall noise but not bothersome. Just a quick two flights down to luminae BED NEAR: Bed faces balcony QUIET?: Quiet BALCONY VIEW: Port side of ship. Balcony oversized and angled so it juts out giving a commanding view port and forward, no obstructions. Very nice view especially forward great for coming in to port or Hubbard glacier viewing. BALCONY SIZE: oversized due to angle. 2 chairs and a table. Did not have footstools plus two lounge chairs with ottomans. WIND A PROBLEM?: a little windy due to forward exposed angle. SOOT A PROBLEM?: Not at all. PROBLEMS/COMMENTS: A little large than most sky suites. Good closet space with ample hangers. Nightstands had drawers and desk/vanity had storage space. Also some space next to minibar under tv to store extra drinks or stuff. Binoculars, Bluetooth speaker in closet for use. The bathroom nice but small only room for one. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination and the ceiling height is low could be an issue if over 6'4" Caution needs to be taken when stepping in and out of bath as there is a step. Suite has a loveseat/sleeper, chair and a medium dining table. The wall on one side of the suite is solid mirrors so it looks bigger. The balcony is exposed to the upper decks when at the end of it, however there is a small cover by the wall and it is more secluded. I didn't mind given all the extra space and views that it provided. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
