We always book SV cabins as well... but several times the lovely balcony was unusable due to weather... either way too hot or very windy and cold. It's just a love of the wake view... and not being bothered by movement if the seas are a bit rocky.
We did that cruise last August and it was wonderful… yes, there were some kids, but nothing like Thanksgiving or Xmas holiday sailings. We try to avoid vacation times, so were a little worried… but not a problem at all.
You must call to get the Elite discount… the flash sales are not combinable, but generally the normal sales are. Read the fine print very carefully and all the way thru… generally says whether it is combinable.
A few months back there was talk of the Elite discount coming up in the planner, but we have had several cruises since that rumor and have never seen it on ours. Does seem like an easy thing for them to do… lol… but Celebrity IT does have lots of issues.
Correct… we always have 3 sunset veranda cabins in a row… with the partitions open you can walk next door and just open the slider from outside. Have not had this issue on any class of ship… maybe different door styles in various locations?
We have been on NCL, HAL, Princess, but mostly Royal and Celebrity. Just got off Reflection a week ago and found everything to be great. No complaints except a lack of servers walking around in bar and buffet areas... which didn't really make a big difference to us. Normal cabins have not been totally redone but were very clean... maybe needing an upholstery refresh on the couch. Would not hesitate to cruise on Reflection again.
First suggestion would be ExecutiveOffice@celebrity.com. I have found them to be quite responsive. Other suggestion is Lhodges-bethge@celebritycruises.com. Good luck!
Just off Reflection yesterday and no tote bag… asked steward and he said they are by request only… we were in sunset veranda… may be different in suite category… very cheap tan canvas with no zipper or pockets but did what it was supposed to do.
Thanks! We got a great deal and the premium Have It All, or wharever they call it. Agree that it’s time to branch out and see what else is out there. We have cruised Princess, NCL, and HAL a while back on older ships, so we’ll see how it goes.
