A few ncl questions

We are new to ncl but not new to cruising. Does ncl have formal night? We are doing the 9 night gem. Also where can I find a list of specialty restaurants in the gem

It has a list of restaurants by ship.

 

 

As for formal night, it's optional. Less than 1/4 of your fellow guests will dress in a suit or tux/formal dress. Others will be dressed more "business casual" or even not dress up at all. Anyone can be in the same restaurant that night, regardless of attire. The Captain is available for formal photos during certain hours that night.

Usually one of the two MDR's and the French resturant after 5p (or is it 6p) suggests no shorts but other than that it is Freestyle ;)

In those two cases (formal MDR & Le Bistro), it's not a suggestion. No shorts allowed.
