Tropical Treasures - Trips

Hi Guys

Just booked the Tropical Treasures cruise on 9th February 2014. Has anybody got any suggestions about trips. We are quite happy to do our own thing but wondered if any of the Thomson trips are worth booking as most of them don't look too expensive.

Any ideas would be welcome

I can recommend

snorkelling the baths at virgin gorda bvi a great practice area if you havent done it before, the pools are very shallow the deepest being no more than about 5/6 ft deep many have sandy bottoms so you can stand up and you wont be rocked by waves and they are all full of colourful little fish

or cane garden bay for the beach with plenty of bars & watersports

taxi up to signal hill on barbados, the highest point where there is a statue of a lion (british emblem) placed there in the colonial days in 1862 the views are amazing across the island & coast and virtually every taxi driver will give you a commentary on the history of the island on the way….some nice churches to visit on Barbados, easy to do by taxi

take a couple of bananas and feed the monkeys in the woods at holetown

or just walk from the ship to the beach....carlisle bay

antigua, the thoms 4x4 trip is good, they take you off road thru cane and pinapple fields then end up at some disused water works?? sounds a bit naff but is is a lovely scenic place with a lake and some tropical forest....never anyone there....take a picnic (from the lido buffet) there are some picnic tables there, its great for birdwatching they stop at a beach on the way back, a great way to see the island

crusoe island antigua also a good ship tour (free bar & lunch) a typical castaway caribbean island...all to yourselves for a day...perfect...its expensive but worth it imo

cant help with st baths....never been there

st vincent a must is the dolphin watching they boast an almost 99% success rate....not great beaches on st vincent but a pretty town with a fruit market

dominca is all about the rain forest and waterfalls....everyone should take a dip in a waterfall at least once in a lifetime...its refreshing...the elixir of life:cool:
