I would like to ask you if she will be able to cross the new Panama Canal. Does she fit under the Bridge of Americas?

Queen Mary 2 will certainly be able to transverse the canal through the new locks. With an air-draught of 62 metres she will easily fit under The Bridge of the Americas which is 117 metres above the water level.

Several on-line references say that the clearance under the main span of the Bridge of the Americas is 61.3 m (201 ft) at high tide. Are they all wrong?

I think that it is 69.5m compared to the Verrazano Narrows ridge at 61.3m

I looked up the bridge height on the internet before responding but my source may be incorrect. Without delving too deeply into things, the air draught of Queen Mary 2 is 62 metres, so allowing a 3 metre margin as required in NY, a clear height of 65 metres would be required for transit.
