the Keyes/ seafood

I am driving down to the Keyes from Iowa and I just wonder if someone would suggest a seafood place that has good seafood and reasonably priced?????? thank you :confused:

Key's Fisheries in Marathon has great seafood. If you like conch then the Cracked Conch has a lot of dishes involving conch. The Islamorada Fish Co is also a very popular restaurant.

I can only speak for Key West, but

 

Key West pinks at, say, the Half Shell Raw Bar, half-priced during happy hour

 

 

Oysters at, say, The Schooner Wharf Bar, half-priced during happy hour

 

 

Tuna Tataki at the Conch Republic Seafood Co, half-priced during happy hour.

Except that the Green Turtle was completely torn down and rebuilt from the ground up 7-8 years ago:rolleyes: I believe also new ownership, basically no connection whatsoever to the previous historic landmark (which we loved).

 

You can't beat the seafood (or anything else) at Lazy Days in Islamorada. They also have a second location now near Marathon.

That's too bad. The original was great, and it always felt like Bogart and Bacall should be sitting at the bar.

When did Conch Republic start having 1/2 priced apps? Have always gone to Half Shell for theirs. Is it all the apps or just a limited number?

I don't believe Conch Republic has half price apps, but I have not been in about a month. I dont think the food there is that great.

 

Alonzo's has half price apps and better food in my opinion.

As previously mentioned, Keys Fisheries is good, also Island Grill and Sunset Grill is good. All on Marathon.

or come down to key west and eat at the harbor....Alonzo's..or the conch republic or hogfish on stock island.
