lego7191 Posted September 15, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Interesting article. Did not see posted anywhere so apologies in advance if it is posted and I just missed the thread. http://www.cruiselawnews.com/2013/09/articles/crime/port-of-miami-security-guards-arrested-for-stealing-cruise-passenger-ipads/ ETA: I posted this in CC's Carnival forum since it mentioned a Carnival Victory passenger had an iPad stolen, but maybe I should have posted on the Florida departures board...? Almost Packed Posted September 15, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Not to blame the victims here...as theft can happen anytime anywhere but this is a good reason why you don't place valuables in checked bags. Carry these things on. just like traveling on a plane, bus etc. I'm glad these thugs were busted. I hope the owners get their property back. No amount of background checks can prevent a thug sneaking through once in a while I suppose.

lego7191 Posted September 15, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Sadly common sense is becoming less common. Totally off-topic.... I LOVE your Disney cruise picture in your signature. Do you know the person in the raft on the waterslide? It really looks like they are giving you a thumbs up. Are they?
Ehpride Posted September 15, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 15, 2013 This is why anything that even looks like it could be of value doesn't leave my sight until it gets into the safe. Plus, Mom and I take turns watching any carryon bags as they're x-rayed.

Almost Packed Posted September 15, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 15, 2013 Sadly common sense is becoming less common. I don't call it common sense...it's "uncommon sense" because it's not so common. I say that all the time. lol
