I am not familiar with this offer, but familiar with casino cruise comp offers in general as I have taken several. These cruises are not entirely free, and what you will be responsible for is port, taxes, and service charges for all persons in the cabin as well as travel to the port and any extras such as excursions. Since you are not a regular player at this casino, more than likely this offer will be for a inside cabin so if you want an oceanview or balcony cabin you will have to pay to upgrade. For the RC 3 & 4 day Bahamas cruises both depart from Port Canaveral so you living in NY will have to fly to this port so consider airfare. On the RC web site, an inside cabin for the 4 day cruise goes about $209 pp for a February sailing, then add a $10 pp per day for service charges. With the cruise comp your port, taxes, and service charges could run you not much less than the price of what you would pay purchasing the cabin outright as these fees are already built into the price of the non comped cabin. These short cruise comps can be a decent deal if you live near the port and can drive there, but when you consider airfare for a short cruise then it may not be worth it especially considering the distance you have to travel to get the certificate. I am a regular player at Mohegan sun, resorts international, celebrity, princess, and royal Caribbean. I knew before I went that port taxes, gratuities, excursions along with the cost of airfare ( if needed)was not included. They give you a basis for the cruise stating that it is either 3-4 night bahama cruise in a balcony cabin. Mohegan had a beautiful large buffet, and beverages (alcoholic and non) along with a reggae band along with their own travel agency to answer questions. Each person had been pre rated as to what their limit of total cost would be ($500 - $1400). I have relatives in Florida we normally visit twice a year so it is not costing me extra should I decide to cruise from a florida port. The cruise must be booked by December 13, 2013 with your sail day occurring before September 22, 2014. I currently have three royal Caribbean cruises booked. Bermuda - Explorer of the Seas in October, 2013, Cozemel - Liberty of the Seas cruising from Fort Lauderdale (when we are down visiting the family) and Quantum of the Seas- February,2015. I was informed by one of the agents that I can cancel my liberty cruise and rebook with them and they can use the funds from my certificate to apply to this cruise which was around $800 without $75 port charges and taxes per person along with $12 per day gratuity per person. I believe a marketing agency performed the search of databases between Mohegan, celebrity and royal which is how it was decided who would receive this offer. Sweet deal for me.
