Christmas Cruise from New York on the Splendor

We have 3 cabins on hold for this cruise but have not booked yet. Has anyone sailed from NYC in December or on a holiday sailing? What do they do special on the cruise for the holiday?

 

Any information would be a big help...

We are doing the New Year's cruise the week after. They have a big party up on the Lido Deck. I'm sure they do something special for Christmas.

 

We were on the Splendor in May and we loved it. Sailing out of New York in December, I would imagine can be a bit dicey the first and last day. For sure it will be chilly.

 

They do have a cover over the main pool in the middle of the ship - it becomes a large enclosed area!

This will be my first holiday sailing and first time on Carnival. We've got a small but great group on the roll call, most also have not been on during the holidays. We get to experience it together!
