JerseyshoreBruce Posted September 18, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2013 How crowded do you think the Elation will be this weekend? Weather might be bad....is there enough to do on this ship if its crappy out?
SadieN Posted September 18, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Yes. But be prepared for the buffet area to be crowded.

Linerguy Posted September 18, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 18, 2013 You will definitely see a difference if the weater is bad. We were on the ELATION and on embarkation day it was pouring outside. The buffet was so crowded it was nearly impossible to find a seat. The Fantasy-class ships have a pretty modest space ratio to begin with, so when weather forces the sun worshippers inside, it can get quite tight. Sailor's Momma Posted September 18, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Dh and I cruised the Elation Jan '12. The weather was bad, but people were still outside. It didn't feel crowed. ~Sailor's Momma~

blakeamy Posted September 18, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Kids are in school, so it shouldn't be too crowded. Of course, the buffet lines at embarkation are always crowded. Once you sail away, it will get better. I have never had a problem finding deck chairs on sea days on the elation, as long as you aren't picky about where they are. On the bigger ships, I've had to circle the decks several times, and usually give up on finding a chair!! Bon voyage!
mzloolue Posted September 18, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 18, 2013 I have sailed Elation five times. Even in really cold stormy weather it did not seem crowded where ever I was. As for activities, I don't know. All I need is a good book and a seat where I can see the water and I am content.

Magic City Cruiser Posted September 19, 2013 #16 Share Posted September 19, 2013 We have an annual October cruise. The largest ship we have sailed was the Triumph. I much prefer the Fantasy and the Elation. Both smaller ships always seemed "less" crowded than the Triumph in any weather. Most kids are in school and it's too early for fall breakers...I say you have a good chance of less crowds and less youngsters on this one...
