Premier Cruises

Just received an Email from CCL Players Club. Info was to announce the next round of Premiere Cruises for the Players Club. Listed 8 different cruises from 5 days to 8 days. Also stated I would receive the full info in the mail soon.

I have received the mail for previous Premiere offers in the past, but this is the 1st time I got an Email prior to. Just wondering if this is new, or have I not been receiving in the past?

BTW, only listed a few of the perks, nothing about cruise cash, room rates, etc.

I too would like to know what dates. Honestly I don't want to book a cruise that is a Premiere Cruises for the Players Club. Last time on the Magic I couldn't get near a slot machine. All of the Premiere cruisers I spoke with were lovely people and I very much enjoy talking to and getting to know some of them. I would just prefer to have a better chance at loosing my money in the slots. Who know maybe I can contribute enough to Carnival to qualify for a cruise.

Not sure why there would be a problem, as the same amount of people on the ship. I also was under the impression that the amount of slots available for booking on each cruise was limited. Maybe not.

It is capacity controlled, I did one in August and am booked on one in November and December.

I noticed the new round of premier cruises showing in my VIFP offers a few days ago on Carnival's website after I entered my VIFP number to see rates. All of the sail dates I saw available were between now and early December, and I'm thinking the lowest fare I saw offered to me was $169 pp. I did not receive an email, nor have I received a letter about them. I did receive a new offer of cruise cash a couple weeks ago.

Edit: I just checked on Carnival's website again and I see some January dates have been added to what I saw earlier. The lowest one now shows as $139 5 day on Freedom on December 9th.

On the web site, they show casino rates, and these 6 are listed as Premiere Cruises. However they are not listed separately, you have to actually search for them.

I'm on that December one, I couldn't pass up that price.

So, mizz_k, how was your August cruise? How were the perks? Was the casino always crowded? We are booked on the legend in November and Freedom in December.

The August cruise was great, the casino was busy but I never had a problem finding a slot machine to play at, during the week I got different things in my cabin, a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies a nice set of towels, they had a cocktail party on the first night, we had a slot tourney one day just for us, they also raffled off money and a free cruise.

November I will be doing one on The Breeze and looks like we are on the same one in December.

Once I enter my VIFP on Carnival's website, I see two entries. One is a "Casino Offer," and one says "Premier Cruise Offer." They are listed separately for me. Carnival never shows on the website the amount of casino cash you have available, but the Carnival rep can tell you how much you have available to you if you call and ask about the cruise.

That is a great price, Mizz K. I'm already booked on a premier cruise in November, and have a New Year's cruise booked too, so I will have to wait for the next offer to grab another premier cruise offer. I'm glad to hear that you had a good premier cruise. Did you see anyone winning anything? How much was the prize for the slot tournament?

In the past, the offer I have received in the mail lists the amount of casino cash. I'm expecting the same this time. I think I will wait until I receive the mail info before I actually book, unless I haven't received by next Monday.

Thanks. I was referring to it showing on Carnival's website. Never shows there.

You are correct there are the same amount of people on the ship. What changes with the Premier Cruises is the percentage that gamble. I did have a wonderful cruise and met some of the nicest people but the casino was more crowded than previous trips. If I have a choice of two dates to sail, all things being equal, I would pick the one I thought I might have the least people in the casino.

I know there were a few winners during the week, I think it was $500 for the winner of the slot tournament, I didn't make it on the board :( I won about $400, this was the first leg of a b2b, on my second leg which wasn't a premier cruise I won $1600 on the first day :D I hope I have some luck on my upcoming one.

OK, got the letter in the mail yesterday with the details. They are offering $150 casino cash on the 5 day cruises, and $250 casino cash on the 7-8 day cruises. This is down from the $300 casino cash I have been offered previously on the Premiere Cruises. In addition, on an offer I received 2 series ago, the offer was for a free balcony, so bookings must be up and they don't have to offer as many incentives.:( I also checked the rates on 2 of the cruises. On 1 of them I can get a military rate for the same price, and on the other, the price is $10 more than if not booking Premiere rate. Also, room availability is not as great if booking Premiere Rate, as it is for booking otherwise. Think I may just pass on the offer.
