ABoatNerd Posted September 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2013 Hello Cunard Cruise Critics! I have not had the pleasure of travelling with Cunard before. Howecer, planning a westbound crossing to NYork next June 5. I am looking for a quiet cabin location and a balcony because I love water. Your opinion please: * Deck 5 mid ship (cabins above and below) * Cabin 5141 I am not sure what view you get with the partial balcony in this classification -as the location is in the hull. Q - Is there a better location onthis great ship with the above attributes? Your assessment would be greatfully received. Thank you ABoatNerd

Thank you ABoatNerd It's a pretty perfect location, the one ting to consider is that you have a starboard cabin so you will miss out on what little sun there is plus you won't see the Statue of Liberty as you sail into New York. FoghornLeghorn Posted September 23, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2013 I had 5164 last Spring on a WB TA and loved the location.

So, you will see Lady Liberty from your balcony, just not right away.

Thank you ABoatNerd Hello ABoatNerd, We had an in hull on our last crossing from Southampton to NY and loved it. It is now the only type of cabin that I wish to book on QM2. We really enjoyed having it as you can use your balcony practically in all weather. It's closeness to the water is also a plus. Pepper has amazing photos of all the Cunard ships on his Flicker account and I would encourage you to view the ones on QM2. It is a beautiful ship as you will see by pepper's photos. Link to cabins: (there is an in-hull cabin featured there) Link to tour of QM2: Enjoy! It is always a pleasure to share these wonderful photos with others. best regards, seasidegal
