Baitman19 Posted July 8, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2005 Awat, They take you to the Holiday Inn and you can use the pool and beach. There's a charge to use lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. I think it was $20.00 There's a restaurant that you get a discount at also. We did this in May. First day in the sun. Monty

Baitman19 Posted July 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Awatt & Dongordon, The grounds are large and there are two pools. One large kiddie pool with slides, sprays and such and a large adult pool with a 12 foot end. Lounge chairs around the pools. There's a snack bar at the pool where you can buy drinks & food stuff. The restaurant is down on the way to the beach. It has an inside and a cover outside deck. The food was good and the frozen drinks were great. You get 10% off at that place. They have live entertainment in the afternoon. There's a savenger hunt for the kids. They have tennis courts & shuffleboard. The beach is nice but the sand isn't like Jones Beach. It's a little more pebbly than fine sand. You'll find the same sand at GSC also. Bring water shoes, it's kind of rough on the feet. They have lounge chairs, umbrellas & body boards to rent. You can use the showers and bathrooms at the Holiday Inn. It's pretty nice there. The shuttle buses run every half hour to bring you back the Dawn. They take you to RON JON surf shop on the way back. The bus goes on and you catch the next bus back. You get a 15% discount there. Overall, It's a nice day in the sun, if sunburn is on the order! Let me know if you want to know anything else Happy cruising Monty
