LOL! Our tour guide said it was the Mayor who owned the paint factory!

LOL I don't think we'll EVER know the real story!

This goes to show you how easily a story can change over time!

Haha seriously!

Love your review. Can't wait to hear the rest!

Thanks for reading!

Yay! I'm all caught up! Loving your review and all the cool things you do and see while on your vacation. Looking forward to the rest and seeing what happens between you and G :)

Oh I definitely make the most of my trips for sure! LOL stay tuned. :)

Can you imagine that I have 9 aunts and uncles (ofcourse cousins of my daddy's), total, living in Curacao, with their kids and grandkids and...you know!! And I've never been there YET!!

Really nice pictures and review of Curacao.

Well it's time for you to plan a trip! Go down and stay for a couple of weeks. I sure would love to. It's such a pretty place!

Come baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!

Are you out with G, because, I gotta say, this review needs to keep on rolling along.....lol:D:D

Actually yes, yesterday I was! Imagine that! :D

Where ARE you?????:D (I followed your cruise on the Valor as I was cruising just a few weeks after you. I'm also from the Atlanta area--north of Atlanta) Not doing this cruise but I still like keeping up with your adventures, LOL. I'm doing the Western for the first time ever, this next spring break. Had to tone it down after that expensive Southern out of OSJ last spring break.

I'm here! I remember you posting in my Valor review! I've been back to reality the last few days. I got so much of the review done last week because I still had a large block of time off after the cruise. Then I had to go back to work Wednesday after being off for 24 days! Can you imagine how hard that was? LOL I'm going to upload some more pictures to photo bucket tonight so I can get day 7 done tomorrow and try (emphasis on TRY) to get this review wrapped up this weekend.

You take your time as your trip reports are always worth the wait. I have nowhere to go anyway since I broke my arm just 32 days before we leave for San Juan for the Valor Thanksgiving Cruise. Living vicariously thru your reviews may be all I get for the next little while. Keep up the fine work. I am very curious about Mr G. Haha!!!

Agree..was just thinking, I hope you're not home on a Friday night posting here when you should be out having fun. Do you like to dress up in your "every day" life too?

Our tour was about an hour and a half, and we headed to Mambo Beach for another hour and a half.

There was this platform thing you could swim to and hang out on or jump off into the water. I was too lazy to swim out there, but the folks that did looked like they were having fun.

I could easily have spent the whole day here.

OMG you broke your arm! That's terrible! I hope you're able to enjoy your cruise as best as you can with a cast!

Believe it or not, my every day life is REALLY BORING! All those dresses typically get worn once, maybe twice, and just stay there in my closet looking pretty. If I'm not working, my Friday and Saturday nights are spent on my couch. I don't have many single friends, and it's hard to coordinate schedules with the few I do have. I haven't seriously dated anyone in a long time (close to 3 years). My every day life is honestly work, gym, church, Publix, repeat, with an occasional movie maybe once a month. The nightlife on the ship is one reason why I LOVE cruises so much. I get to have a nice dinner, see a comedy show, listen to music, dance a bit, have a drink, and enjoy the company of a few new friends. The 50 weeks a year that I'm not on vacation aren't even remotely close to the excitement you see in my reviews. Well, with the exception of an occasional Vegas layover. :D

Well thank you! :)

Wonderful review just like the rest! Congratulations on the weight loss. You were gorgeous before the weight loss and just as stunning now. I'm surprised on you not havig much of a social life. Especially living in such a great city with so much to do and how independent you are.

Are you still in touch with G? Does he live close by?

Awesome review!

Thank you! I hope you enjoy the Breeze in December!

Thank you! I still have another 20 I would like to lose. I'm slowly getting there. To an extent, I like being a homebody. Yeah it sucks to be where I am in life and rarely get to go out, but it is what it is. G and I have stayed in touch. We live a long way from each other, but that's where my job comes in handy! :)

Friday, 10/4

Today was the second of our three sea days. It’s official. Our cruise is coming to a close and we’re headed back to Miami. I have 48 hours to live it up as best as I can. My morning started at 10 am when I hit the gym for a 5 ½ mile run. I mean who does that on vacation?

I made it a point to be at Cucina del Capitano just before noon so I could be there as they opened and wouldn’t have to wait for a table. Lunch here is free, but you do have to pay for dinner. There are plenty of tables and it’s open seating. You’re given a paper and choose your pasta, meat, sauce, vegetables, and your meal is freshly prepared for you. You can also choose if you want bread, ceasar salad, or lasagna. One thing I wish they offered was salad with Italian dressing in addition to ceasar. An Italian restaurant should at least offer that. LOL Al and Gayle from the roll call came in soon after me and we sat next to each other. Lots of cruise talk, of course.

The dinner menu.

A server will bring your order to you. The silver container is full of parmesan cheese.

I had penne pasta with pomodoro sauce, chicken, broccoli, onions and peppers. It was delicious! And that bread? SOOOOOOOOO GOOD! I could have eaten it and nothing else the rest of the cruise!

The Ocean Plaza area on deck 5 is where it's at! Karaoke, trivia, bands, something was always happening here. At night there's always a lot of people walking through and standing around, so foot traffic can be a little congested. Don't forget there are lots of places to sit outside as well.

The Piano Bar. I never hung out here, but every time I passed by it was crowded. Lots of people were singing and having fun. Everyone seemed to really love the entertainer.

See that clear glass area straight ahead? Ok, that's the Limelight Lounge, where the Punchliner Comedy Club is held. When people pour out of there, traffic spills directly into the piano bar. This was an obvious design flaw. I'm sure the people trying to enjoy the piano bar hated this.

The Limelight Lounge. Sitting at the bar (on the far left) is the worst seat in the house unless you're on the very front bar stool. There's a tv screen so you don't miss out.

Sometimes it was hard to see when sitting on the couch.

Well, I must say, GAPearl, your review is making me want the Breeze to be my next Carnival cruise. This year (in 6 weeks actually:D) we are going on Princess and taking a break from Carnival. Do not get me wrong, we still greatly enjoy Carnival, but I have not enjoyed their food for the last 2 or 3 years. I felt I needed a change. My travel companions (one was on Ruby Princess with her husband last year and the other on the Sunshine in Europe back in May) wanted to try something different for our all-girls/leave-the-guys-at-home cruise. Next year though, we'll likely do another Carnival cruise, and I'd like it to be the Breeze.

After lunch, I headed down to the aft pool to spend a lazy couple of hours. G joined me, of course. The water was WARM! It wasn’t quite as hot as the jacuzzi, but like a bathtub. Ok, so sea day #1 I was in a cool jacuzzi, and sea day #2 I was in a warm pool. Did they get it backwards? People were going and getting ice to cool themselves down in there. I relied on some fruity frozen drinks.

A few shots of the aft pool area.

We must have left the pool around 3ish. I headed back to my room to shower, change clothes, and met back up with G and his brother. I swear, we were like The Three Musketeers all week. LOL We headed to the Limelight Lounge for a few free drinks, thanks to an invite from a family reunion group having an open bar party. G’s brother stayed and he came with me to the Thrill Theater I had been telling him he HAD to try. We got there just as the 5 pm movie was starting and weren’t let in. Make sure you are on time! We went to the Pixels photo gallery so I could check out some of the pictures I had taken through the week and then came back. Both are on deck 4 and a short walk from one to the other.

The Thrill Theater movie we caught was Just The Rides. I loved it! A couple of friends from my group were in there too. We definitely hollered like some big kids. :o The Thrill Theater is best experienced when there’s a fun group of people in the room with you.
