LouiseB Posted October 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2013 hello all, we're off over the Christmas hols on the QE, just looked on the personalised and note one of the formal nights is a Starlight Ball, can anyone give me an idea as to what to expect on this night? I also appreciate its a formal night but are there any specifics about what to wear eg: black and white at the black and white ball etc Thanks in advance for your help Louise
brigittetom Posted October 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2013 I haven't heard of a Starlight Ball but it sounds as if they are providing you with another special event in the Queens Room. I would think that your formal attire is exactly what will be expected.
maggiemou Posted October 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2013 Hi Louise. If you go into your cruise personaliser and look at the Q/A section. Click on what to wear and you will find a link that leads to the description of what to wear for themed balls. Starlight ball, think Hollywood movies stars and such. Glamour and glitz! Think long gowns bling, fur stoles , tippets. long gloves for ladies. Men can wear white tie and tails. Think Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, or a younger glam celeb couple. :D copied below from Cunard link. Go for it and have fun! Camera, lights and action for the GoldenAge of Hollywood Greats. Step back in time to the days when the movie stars travelled on the Cunard Queens. Formal Wear - 'Pick one of your favourite Hollywood Stars or simply dress for the Red Carpeted Film Premiere’Gentlemen – ‘White Tie’; top hat & tails, white shirt & white bow tie Ladies – Long evening gowns, sequined or sparkling accessories, fringed bolero/shawl or faux fur.
