Renting bicycles without reservation

Hi, we are on the CCL Imagination in December and may want to decide what to do in KW after we arrive. We may want to walk around; we may want to rent bicycles. Some of it may depend on the weather.

That said, how easy (or not) is it to rent bicycles spontaneously by walking to one of these without a reservation: Pirate Rentals, A&M, Tropical. They all seem to be within walking distance of the dock.

Thanks for your help.

No problem at all. I would also look at http://www.eatonbikes.com/

FYI CCL Imagination docks at the Outer Mole pier (at least when we are on the ship in Dec. it is) which requires a shuttle ride into town. Not sure what date you are sailing, but on the Dec. 2 cruise that's where we dock.

Just so you know that from the Mole pier you will not be within walking distance to the rental places. Not sure where they drop you off when you get shuttled in. I haven't been to this dock yet, so I'm trying to figure it out myself.

Thank you all for the information.

mrsfuzzmo, sailing 12/9. We do dock at Outermole. What did you mean by you have to take a shuttle to town??

Last time I ported in Key West, it was on RC and we walked off the ship and did our walking tour. Just curious...

Thanks.

The Outer Mole pier is behind Navy property so you must ride a provided shuttle for the few hundred yards that will drop you off at Front St.

The shuttle is free, it just takes a few minutes more for you to reach the Front St/Duval St area.
