Thanks for the info. What a shame though. It was so nice to have coffee in bed without waiting for room service. Perhaps Costa will eventually make it a fleet wide feature......fingers crossed!

i would say that is highly unlikely. they want you ordering (and paying for) room service. fyi - the allegra had kettles and instant coffee. sadly, she was scrapped.

  • 1 month later...

On the Victoria (Oct. 2012) I had a kettle in my Inside (least expensive) stateroom and the steward constantly supplied/replaced: Nescafe, sugar & Coffeemate packages along with teabags.

While instant coffee is not the greatest, it was better than nothing and saves having to get dressed and go to the restaurant to get coffee first thing in the morning... or wait for room service to bring it... cold.

Premium cabins has free 24h room service. The cost of a premium cabin opposed to a classic cabin is something around 20-40 euros, and gives you many more benefits than just the free 24 room service.

•Privileged cabins in terms of size and position

•Free continental breakfast in your cabin (on request)

•Free service in your cabin

•Option to book dinner for a specific time in the restaurant

•Extra 10% discount on your next cruise in Premium

•Enjoy all the services and facilities available on the ship

CostaClub: accumulation of twice the usual number of points

I believe that Samsara and above cabins has kettles in the stateroom:

•Tea kettle and tea cups with selection of ayurvedic tea filters
