Port of Quebec - Grocery shopping

Recommended Posts

Walk out of the cruise ship terminal past the large parking lot. The main street in front is rue Dalhousie. turn right, about a block or two down is a Petro Canada on the other side of the street with grocery store. It has water, juices, & wine!!, plus some food items. Saw many Maasdam passengers stop in here to pick up drinks and take them back to the ship. Went there twice, the store is way busier than the gas station. I am sure there are lots of other shops as well around the port all within walking distance but I think the Petro Can is one of the closest as you don't want to be lugging your drinks too far. This assumes you are docked at the main dock. Quebec city has another dock farther west by the Plains of Abraham

If you want a proper grocery store, you can always take the No.1 bus (stops right in front of the cruise port) to the Metro grocery store on Boul. Charest (again, bus stops right in front). It's a little hidden, but it's right under the highway overpasses, so that's an easy way to see where to stop.
