Bentley5700 Posted October 28, 2013 #51 Share Posted October 28, 2013 It is smaller than most suites and has 2 large beams on the balcony that both obstruct the view as well as make it very difficult to move around on the balcony. The balcony is very shallow to begin with and a lounge chair in the sitting position is right up to the railing. While I knew this was an obstructed balcony when we took the room, I did not realize how much of an obstruction the beams would be. There are several levels of suites. C750 is a Vista Suite with an obstruction. A somewhat larger Penthouse Suite cabin and no obstruction is right next door. But, as you might expect, it costs more. We love those Penthouse aft cabins and recommend them to you.

Between the soot and the beams it was problematic.:)
Gabby415 Posted October 28, 2013 #53 Share Posted October 28, 2013 We were on Emerald for 10 days in January of this year. It was both our first Princess and our first inside cabin. Would do it again in a heartbeat. I don't think you'll be disappointed..:)
lynwar Posted October 28, 2013 #54 Share Posted October 28, 2013 We've been on the Emerald twice and really enjoyed it. In recent years, we started to book cabins on the Plaza Deck which were quite convenient. We had fun going through the art gallery each day. The forward elevators were very close, too. That location was very close to the Internet Café, International Café, entertainment in the Atrium, etc. We've also been far forward, E 114, which was right at the top of the stairs going up from the promenade deck. We could see out but people couldn't see in. :) No problem there. Our favorite spots were Crooners and the Aft Pool, and we ate most of our meals in the Horizon Court and Café Caribe. Have fun!! John & Kelly Posted October 31, 2013 #55 Share Posted October 31, 2013 We will be taking our 4th cruise on the Emerald in Dec and cannot wait to return. This ship is just perfection in every aspect and we were so glad when we were ready to cruise again that the Emerald had just the itinerary we wanted. The layout of the ship is so smooth and the staff has always been amazing. Enjoy everyone!!!!!
