rfholcom Posted July 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2005 There are 4 of us. We can either take 2 large suitcases or 4 small - medium suitcases. How is the storage on the Spirit? Which would be the better choice?
CruiseIsGood Posted July 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2005 The suitcases will easily fit under the beds. My very large one does. Bring whichever is most convenient.
K.T.B. Posted July 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Just remember that airlines are becoming very strict on their weight limits now.... :)
rfholcom Posted July 10, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted July 10, 2005 Yep, I believe it is 50 pounds. We were going to weigh them to be sure we were not close to the 50 pounds.
Bribrittmom Posted July 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2005 My large suitcase was under fifty pounds and it did not fit under the bed on our Spirit cruise last week. It did however fit in the closet standing up.
CheshireCat Posted July 12, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2005 We returned home from our Alaska Cruise June 28th. My husband and I figured that 1 lg bag each would be easier to maneuver than 2 small ones each. ( 2 + weeks away) While the weight in our bags did not change, we had no charge going to Alaska, but $25 each for overweight bags going back home from Seattle... So, you can carry 98 pounds if you bring two bags, but only 50 bags if you bring one bag. I stilll think that a thin petite person should be able to bring more luggage than an obese person but United Airlines thinks differently than I do!
